Tropical Storm Isaías may strike Puerto Rico

It’s that time of the year again. There are warnings for Tropical storms in Puerto Rico. What else can be asked for? (Like if it isn’t enough with COVID-19) Getting back on topic, Puerto ricans are getting ready they know what’s going to happen.


The National Hurricane Center believes that Isaís, the ninth named storm of 2020 will form in the Atlantic by the end of Wednesday. “The system is expected to become a tropical storm when it is near the Leeward Islands on Wednesday, said National Hurricane Center (NHC)

Furthermore, this tropical storm warnings are issued for Puerto Rico and it is probable that it can impact the island on Wednesday night into Thursday.


This tropical storm is delivering winds of 40 mph and are forecast to increase their intensity. Also, rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are forecast likely it can go up to 10 inches causing flash flooding and mudslides. (www.cnn.com/weather).


CNN meteorologist, Chad Myers, says, ”Every model that I looked at today develops some form of transportation tropical system and turns it toward or north of Puerto Rico."
