Reflective Sundays: Staying positive does not mean things will turn out okay. Rather it is...

Staying positive does not mean things will turn out okay. Rather, it is knowing that you will be okay no matter how things turn out.

We've almost three weeks into the New Year, and many people have been feeling discouraged. This year seems no different than the one we just ended. We're still in a pandemic, most are still in quarantine, and the problems from last year remain.

But, instead of feeling discouraged we should remind ourselves that we need to stay positive. Almost everyone has lost a loved one and the feeling of hopelessness has spread. Even through these difficult cases and events, we must stay positive.

In the end, the pandemic and all of the chaos in the world will have left a mark in our hearts. We may not be able to control the circumstances of the world, but we can control our attitude as we push through and survive them.

We must exit these times with as a good of a mind as we can. No matter what the world throws at us, we will be okay. Resilience is difficult to maintain, but with the right motivation and support from those around us, we can and will get through everything.
