This quote is absolutely true. Many people are afraid to try new things or to follow their dreams because they are afraid people are going to judge them or that they won't be good enough and fail. If you don't try something than you'll never know if you'll be good at it. Life is too short to miss opportunities to try something new and maybe even succeed at it.
Self-doubt is something many struggle. People underestimate themselves and their abilities, but you are as capable of succeeding as everybody else. In fact, nobody should let doubt crush their dreams. Failure is an opportunity to learn and grow. Failure may be painful, but you'll learn so much more about yourself and your abilities than you will if don't try.
You probably won't get every opportunity and you might not succeed at everything. Although it feels horrible to be rejected, it's part of life. No human being is perfect. There is always a possibility you may be rejected or get a "no", but if you don't try, you are missing out on your possibility to get a "yes".
