Ensenada: A Great Destination

The perfect place to travel after the pandemic is over is Ensenada, Baja California. It is a coastal city in Mexico and it is locally referred as “The Cinderella of the Pacific.” Ensenada is about 78 miles south of San Diego, California. Ensenada has come up to be a cruise ship destination, aerospace center, and jumping off point for Valle de Guadalupe, a local wine region. Ensenada is also known as Tijuana’s sister.


What to do in Ensenada?


There are many things to do in Ensenada. You can find a lot of places to visit, delicious food to

eat, and more.


One thing to do in Ensenada is walking the Malecón. This is disntiguished by the red, white, and

green colors of the towering flag pole that exhibits the world’s largest Mexican flag, it is the

hallmark of the Malecón.


In Spanish, Malecón is a stone embankment along a waterfront, which means that this is the

perfect spot to take a leisurely stroll along the coastline. (daringplanet.com.)


Also, spending the day at the beach is a perfect idea. There’s plenty of things to do in Ensenada

ranging from surfing, to body guarding, fishing, kitesurfing, to swimming.


Moreover, another activity to do is exploring the historic and abundant wine country, Valle de

Guadalupe. You can try their delicious wine.


Additionally, the most important place that needs to be visited while being in Ensenada is “La

Bufadora.” It is about thrity-five kilometers South of Ensenada. “ La bufadora is the only marine

geyser in the Americas and the second largest on the planet. The Bufadora is also a blowhole that

spews water as high as sixty feet up into the air.


La Bufadora “effect” occurs when strong waves crash against this rock-wall, when this

phenomenon occurs, there lays submerged marine caves and when the water forcibly arrives, the

air inside the caves contracts leads to enormous quantities of air and pressure, the water launches

up to 20 meters, or 60 feet up in the air. (daringplanet.com)


What to eat in Ensenada?


There is a variety to eat in Ensenada. You can try the Baja-style fish tacos, Tostadas served

with shrimp, clam, cod or sea urchin. Additionally, you can try the Puerto Nuevo Lobster, Ceasar

Salad, Ceviche, Mini or baby vegtables. (Carnival.com)


In conclusion, Ensenada is one of the best places to escape from the daily routine or simply have

a getaway with family and friends.
