In 2015, Argentina and Chile confronted each other to see who was going to be the winner and receive the prestigious cup. Both teams were positive that they were going to do the best. Chile’s National Team had many things in favor. For example, the tournament was being held in Chile, which made it much easier on them because their fans were in the stadium showing their support. Argentina, a neighboring country; also had fans in the stadium cheering on them which made the team gain confidence that they were going to be the champions and the best of South America.

On July 4, 2015 the finale arrived, both Chile and Argentina had two of their famous stars on the field. Chile’s famous scorer is Alexis Sanchez and for Argentina it is Lionel Messi. These two stars have fans from all over the world. The match turned out to be 0-0 on regulatory time and they had to continue to go to extra time of 15 minutes each and since both of the teams didn’t score they decided that the winner was going to be decided on penalties. Chile won Argentina 4-1 on penalties becoming the champion and showing the world that they were the best National Team.

Nevertheless, the coin was tossed again in 2016. This time Copa America was held in the United States and both teams met for the second time in the finale.
